Bernardo started dancing Forró in the UK with the Forró Family group in Brighton and London in 2016. It provided a way to shut off the brain and let the music heal. As his enthusiasm for Brazilian culture and the happiness surrounding the dancing community grew, he became totally addicted to dancing.

Bernardo later started his own teaching classes from his home town Biella, Italy, before moving to Australia, where he joined Forró Brisbane, and Forró Cairns.

Leo has been dancing forró for over 20 years. He now teaches forro and works as a forro musician in Melbourne. Before moving to Melbourne, he was the owner of and teacher at Forró Norway dance school and has gave workshops and classes all around Europe. Leo is also a forró musician and and was a renowned DJ in Europe.

Julie is a forró teacher from Brisbane that started dancing forró in 2019 and quickly became hooked. She now cannot see her life without teaching forró.

Barbara’s love for forró started over 25 years ago, and since moving to Australia, the connection to Brazilian culture and expressing it through music and dance became not only a passion but a way of celebrating her identity as a migrant.

Barbara is based in Brisbane where she teaches workshops of all styles including roots. Barbara teaches all levels including teachers, and at festivals over the past 6 years.
